History

HPR Nepal’s remarkable journey started from 2009 after our ever committed team won the seed fund provided by Mondialogo Engineering Awards for two innovative concepts ”AIR COMPRESSOR BASED WATER PUMPING IN RURAL AREA OF NEPAL and INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION NETWORK IN RURAL NEPAL which was held in Germany in 2009. The concepts were widely acclaimed in an international assemblage. This event was a point of acceleration for a young team to work in technology development and dissemination and it served the purpose of contributing more towards technological development by establishing an organization which is now known as HPR Nepal. The zeal and the dedication which the founding members have put forth has been an inspiration in guiding young professionals, development workers and entrepreneurs alike who value technology use.

HPR Nepal hitherto has worked in various sectors and has achieved remarkable feat in developing innovative technologies and their successful implementation in Nepal especially in renewable energy, information and communication and development related works. The organization is a common forum of youth development professionals interested in research and development of innovative technologies which are useful especially in developing countries for their socio-economic development. After 5 years of its inception, HPR Nepal has achieved a significant technology oriented development portfolio and wishes to expand its operations and work all over Nepal through continuous innovation and liaison with development partners.
